Senior Corporate Advisory Role

Orima & Co Advocates is Uganda’s premier banking law firm, representing ten commercial banks, private equity funds, development finance institutions, and government finance agencies in our Banking and Finance group. We are looking to hire an advocate to join this practice group.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of legal opinions
- Conducting due diligence on companies
- Negotiating various agreements and contracts on behalf of clients
- Actively contribute to the team’s business development strategy.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and market developments, and provide thought leadership within the firm.
- Contribute to business development initiatives, including client pitches, seminars, and networking events.
- Supervising other advocates and staff members
Experience and Knowledge
- An enrolled advocate with at least five (5) practicing certificates.
- Candidates should possess substantial experience in advising corporations and leading projects
- Knowledge of company law.
- Proficiency in legal drafting with exceptional attention to detail is required.
- A confident and professional manner is imperative.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
